Manuscripts for Shaman Winter

For his novel, Shaman Winter, Rudolfo Anaya produced many initial drafts, some of which are available here. The original manuscript documents are in the collections of the Center for Southwest Research at the University of New Mexico Libraries. This is the first half of an initial, rough draft of Shaman Winter, which was originally titled Novo Mexic. The draft, completed in December of 1994, develops the main plot and outlines the novel chapter by chapter.
